I Go To The Rock – Whitney Houston

Listen to Whitney Houston’s take on the Gospel song, “I Go To The Rock.” This is from The Preacher’s Wife OST, 1996. Lyrics: Where do I go? When there’s nobody else to turn to Who do I talk to? When nobody wants to listen Who do I lean on? Oh When there is no foundation stable I go to the rock I know he is able, I go to the rock [Chorus:] I go to the rock of my salvation I go to the stone that the builders rejected I run to the mountain And the mountain he stands by me When the Earth all around me is sinking sand On Christ the solid rock I stand When I need a shelter I go to the rock Where do I go, where do I go When the storms of life are threatening Who do I turn to when those winds of sorrow blow And is there a refuge in the time of tribulation Go to the rock, I know he is able I go to the rock [Repeat Chorus (2X)] I go the rock when I need a friend I can go to the rock I go to the rock when I need a shelter You can go to the rock You can go to the rock You can go to the rock I can go I go to the rock I can go to the rock I can go to the rock I can go, I can go to the rock I can go when I need some shelter When I need a friend I can go And when the Earth around me is sinking sand On Christ the solid rock I stand I can stand When I need a friend I go to the rock I can go to the rock Hey hey hey oh yeah

Nashville Twang meets ‘80 Rock

Nashville twang meets ’80s rock
It was one of the overlooked musical revolutions of the decade just passed: the migration of rock and pop fans into the world of country music. It wasn’t a phenomenon Rascal Flatts necessarily set out to ignite — and indeed, the embers had already been well stoked by acts such as Garth Brooks and Shania Twain.

How Old Is Tina Turner

Tina Turner Kansas TourTina Turner, also known as the Grandmother of Rock, is turning an unbelievable age of 68 this year. After 8 years of silence, when we all thought that she’s retired and enjoying spending time surrounded by her family, Tina Turner comes in force again and announces that she’s going to undertake a new tour.

After the farewell Tina played in 2000, who would have thought that in 2008 she’s gonna go on a North American tour scheduled to reach Staples Center on October 13?

As the singer declared at the Grammy Awards, her tour will kick off in Kansas City. This decision was taken after many fans kept on asking the diva about the date of her next tour. The tickets will cost between $54.30 for upper-level seats and $150 for lower-level and floor seats. Not so much for such an unexpected performance, is it?

Cool, how good music never dies, and how pop stars like Tina Turner seem to be forever young, despite their age. Maybe face lift surgery helps.
