In the Star Wars trilogy, Did David Prowse do all the stunts
himself or did he have a stunt double?

    He had a stunt double. No studio is going to risk their main characters getting injured and having to recast, even in Vader’s case where we don’t even see the person behind the helmet. Plus, David Prowse was (still alive) a British body builder, so I would imagine him not being very nimble.

    He was a bodybuilder so he was’t a slight man at 6’7″. I can’t find any information yet on whether he had a stunt double, but I did find this on IMDB:

    He was barred from doing the lightsaber duels in Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980)_ and Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983) because he kept breaking the poles that stood in for the laser blades during the first film. The lightsaber duels in the sequels were instead done by Bob Anderson, the swordmaster who handled the lightsaber choreography; in order to make up for the height difference, Bob Anderson wore platform shoes and was often filmed from low angles.
