and the sweet, innocent, shy michael jackson you see whenever he’s not on stage. So i wonder, why are there 2 michael jacksons?

I love the badass side..except for the fact a 12 year old boy could HAVE kicked the crap out of him. He was what a 112 pounds?
The sweet innocent MJ your taking about is the way MJ was raised. He was raised to be polite and modest and soft spoken. Not to mention that he was a very shy person, he has said so himself in many interviews. But when hes on stage he becomes the dance, he becomes the music. He has said that the worst thing a entertainer can do is think when they are on stage. You don’t think about anything. He was the type of performer that became the dance and the melody and the baseline. He was so in-tune with his music that as a result he turned into the best performer the world has ever known. And as for which one I would pick I would not be able to pick because the way I see it only a sensitive person could be so in-tune to the music as well has he was, so you can’t have one without the other.
i guess hes more comfortable on stage? idk

Sweet innocent Michael is my favorite by far…he wasn’t always bad *** on stage either…
Because he said he always felt at home on stage, that’s where he grew up.

there arent 2 michaels….theres just the confident side to him, and the shy side to him. the confident side comes out when hes on stage…he is doing what he loves, performing.
He is a virgo, like myself, so he is naturally shy. Look at beyonce who is also virgo, she is shy and she transforms on stage (sasha fierce). I guess that’s just how we are!

I prefer the badass side of MJ, thats what got me heavily into his music. Im not saying that Im not a fan of the innocent and deep side of his music, its just that I leaned more towards his bad side.
I believe that metaphorically there are two MJs, however, I think that he just had a complex personality.

i always tell people MJ is like Superman. shy, mild-mannered, off stage MJ and he’s-too-perfect-to-be-human, on stage MJ.
MJ did once say he’s more comfortable being on stage than he was sitting down being interviewed.

?I have definitely noticed that! I’m not sure exactly why, but I’m going to answer from experience and say that I’m shy around people that I don’t know, and very loud and “out there” with people that I do know. So, maybe he felt like he knew his fans better, and felt safer around them than he did in interviews, which is where you see the shy Michael.
?The Michael Jackson that I prefer would *have* to be the badass one. Watching videos from the “Bad” album (what a coincidence, LOL), I can’t help but notice how much of a bad boy he looks like!!! Especially in Bad and Dirty Diana. In Smooth Criminal, at the end, when he winks, he seems like such a flirt.
?But, then again, the sweet, innocent, shy Michael is the one that everyone came to know and love, and it made him who he was. So, given that combination, that had to have made him the perfect man! How could you not love a sweetie like that?
That’s a good question, I’ve noticed this too.
I guess when he’s singing and dancing, he just gets into it… it’s just his thing. Like, I’m really really shy and quiet, but when I play piano, all of that seems to go away and I can let loose in front of crowds or whatever. Maybe it was the same for Michael?
I don’t know, but I loved both sides of him… He was a perfect balance of kindness and sexiness, and I don’t think I’ll ever find that again in anyone.
well there were 2 michaels like you said, he was confident on stage because he knew he was great at what he did, offstage well that was the aftermath of a childhood where he hardly talked to *normal* people so he was shy, but also sweet caring and humble. i prefered the sweet/innocent. i put a link to rare home videos of mj with his family omg you wouldlnt belive how funny he is and just like any normal kid tbh

Michael DOES NOT have to personalities…Let me tell you that i’ve noticed that “2 personalities” thing for a while…and was wondering about how he could be so diffrent off stage while he’s brave,smexy and really cool on stage..well..after watching a couple of videos on youtube and discussing this subject with a couple of ppl,i figured out that the realy MJ personality is the shy,innocent and easily embarassed one…you see,he finds himself on stage,on stage he finds his own world,where he can go wild and brave,the cameras were his best friend..infron of the cameras he can find the Strong Michael that won’t be easily defeated by the harsh life -cuz i suppose you already know that MJ was extremly sensetive- i think this is the best explanation…i hope i answerd your question
